NYC for the Day!

On Sunday I spent the day in NYC. I learned lots of new techniques and freshened up on some classic cutting with a Vidal Sassoon Icon, Tim Hartley.
Tim introduced his new collection, Infinite Variety. Spending the day with him and the Davines team was such an inspiration. To be around such talented people in the industry was quite the experience. I think the most important lesson I learned about the hair industry is that you never stop learning! We as stylist take the old and reinvent it in our own way. We turn to different era's in history for inspiration. We look to fashion icons, and trends of the time to create something new and different to keep current and changing. After leaving the city on Sunday I felt energized and refreshed. I also realized that my job is really important! We all want to feel good about ourselves and I, as a stylist, help people do that everyday.

Thanks to the Capelli Shop for giving me the opportunity to attend the class and my model Mallory. Here are some pictures of my work. Mallory before and after!
