Make Up Anyone?
Today I spent the day in NYC for my first MAC pro class. From the moment I walked into the building I felt inspired. Maybe it was the colorful jars of shadows lining the wall, the photo shoot set up, or maybe just maybe it was the hot men handing out hors d'oeuvres and pomegranate martini's.....but needless to say I learned a lot and can't wait to use some of the techniques I attained from Dotti today!

Here's a little background on the presenter Dotti:
Dotti was born in Australia and studied makeup at Film Makeup and Technology. She got her start professionally under Richard Sharah and Pat McGrath. Before moving to New York four years ago, Dotti lived in London and Hong Kong. She has collaborated with some of the world’s most creatively renowned photographers, including Michelangelo Di Battista, Miles Aldridge, Ellen von Unwerth, Steven Klein, Dan Jackson, Patrick Demarchelier, and Sebastian Faena. Dotti’s celebrity clients include Cate Blanchett, Jada Pinkett Smith, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Emma Watson and Jennifer Garner. Her editorial work includes Vogue, V Magazine, I.D., American Vogue, Numero and Elle. Clients include M·A·C, Max Mara, Versace perfume, Guerlain, Etro, Neutrogena and La Perla.
Dotti’s approach to makeup is to be open and fresh. Each face projects an essence, a sort of personal signature that her makeup accentuates and reveals. Dotti arrives armed with her bags of supplies and makeup to be inspired by the client and the team of people that surrounds her. She demonstrates spontaneous creativity that allows her to push past personal boundaries and passionately enjoy her work.
